Coming in JULY:
Quilting without Marking with the lovely Debbie Moore. 
Debbie will be teaching this fast and fun technique for getting your quilts finished. 
Supply lists have been emailed to Members. 
NOTE: Due to space limitations, Guests are welcome for the general meeting and lecture portion of the meeting from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The workshop that follows is limited to paid Members. 

~ July's swap is a quilted tote*.   (*Loosely defined by our Swap Master as "a functional shape made of fabric that may or may not close with a zipper, may or may not have handles, may or may not have a pocket, and may or may not be larger than a breadbox.")  Please WRAP your swap item.  


Membership renewal is due no later than July's meeting. Please fill out the membership form and bring it to the meeting. If for some reason you can't attend, please contact Heide or Joy. 

Challenge Quilt: Your fourth border should include improvisational piecing and  lime green.
Secret Pal assignments will be passed out at July's meeting. If you'd like to participate, contact Tricia BEFORE meeting day.

May Meeting Highlights

May's meeting was all about bags! Members brought some of their favorite creations to share with the guild. Lots of ideas were exchanged.

April Meeting Highlights

The lovely Cindy French joined us to teach English Paper Piecing. Cindy passed out kits and members got to work trying their hand at this fun technique. We have hexie fever!

~ June's Picnic is coming!  See Gwen to sign-up for food assignments. 


Coming in MAY:
~ We'll be talking about bags!  Bring a bag or purse you've made and its pattern for show & tell fun!
~ Charity Sew-In - Immediately following the May meeting. We will be making the cinch sacks and portfolios for the women and children's shelter.
          Bring a bag lunch, your machine, fabric and supplies.
          Patterns and fabric requirements can be found on the Charity tab above. 
Challenge Quilt: Your second border should include curved piecing and navy blue.
June's Block of the Month is the String Block. See Susan W. for the grey strip to use in the block's center.

March Meeting Highlights

March came in like a lion, and PMQG members shrugged it off with a little strip poker fun! We also swapped place mats, Yankee style.

~ We will be scheduling sew days to work on our 2016 Raffle Quilt. Stay tuned!


Coming in APRIL:
~ We'll be learning about the versatile hexie. Kits will be provided. Please bring your hand-sewing tools. (Scissors, needle, thread, thimble)
April's Block of the Month is the Square Knot Block. For each block you make your name will go into the hat for some fun prizes. This month's blocks will go into the kitty for our charity quilts.

February Meeting Highlights

This month designer, Alison Glass, came to visit the PMQG! Not only did she share her experiences as a designer, she also brought her pop-up shop and sample quilts. Members had the opportunity to view and purchase her fabrics, patterns, book and more.

NEXT MONTH:

~ We'll be playing Strip Poker: Bring (20) 2 ½” strips (solids or white with one other color) to play. IF you don't have standard yardage, 2 cuts from a fat quarter = 1 WOF strip
~ Placemat swap! Make TWO matchin placemats to participate. We will play the Yankee (White Elephant) Swap so make sure your goods are wrapped!
~ Challenge Quilt: The center block (star) of your medallion quilt is 'due'. First row challenge will be assigned in March and due in April.
~ April's Block of the Month is the Square Knot Block. Don't forget to make extras of this fun block for our charity quilts.
